Incentive spirometers are used to help patients improve the functioning of their lungs. The breathing exercises are designed to help patients take long deep breaths, similar to a yawn. The deep breathing improves the ability to clear mucus from the lungs and may also increase the amount of oxygen getting into the lungs.

Coach 2® makes incentive spirometry easier for patients and clinicians alike

The one-way valve ensures patients inhale, rather than exhale into the unit. Highly-visible pistons and universal graphics (indicating correct inspiratory flowrate) help patients perform and monitor their own post-surgical breathing exercises without direct supervision. The CliniFLO® Flow Breathing Exerciser is ideal for therapy in geriatric, pediatric or weakened patients. With flow settings from 100ml/sec to 600ml/sec, virtually any patient can sustain the minimum inspiratory effort required for effective therapy. Slow inspirations enhance collateral ventilation and minimise patient discomfort when performing post-surgical breathing exercises.

Bosch FeNO measurement with Vivatmo

It measures the level of an inflammatory marker in your exhaled breath, the so-called FeNO value. This gives you an indication of the current degree of inflammation in your lungs. The regular measurements help you monitor the course of your asthma.

The Vitalograph copd-6™ identifies those at risk of COPD at the pre-symptomatic stage. The device screens out those whose FEV1 is normal.

The copd-6 screener allows early medical intervention and facilitates better clinical outcomes.

Smiths Medical PORTEX® acapella® DM & DH Vibratory PEP Therapy System

Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) therapy is used to mobilize secretions. PEP devices have been found to give independence to patients with chronic respiratory diseases as the therapy can be done when convenient for the patient and without the need for an assistant.

acapella® combines the benefits of both PEP therapy and airway vibrations to mobilize pulmonary secretions and can be used in virtually any position allowing patients to move freely and sit, stand or recline.

It improves clearance of secretions, is easier to tolerate than Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), takes less than half the time of conventional CPT sessions* and facilitates opening of airways in patients with lung diseases with secretory problems  such as COPD, asthma and Cystic Fibrosis. Color-coded units (green for high-flow, blue for low) help customize treatment for each patient based on their clinical needs.
